What is resurfacing?
Fractional Resurfacing is a 6-in-1 treatment, targeting the overall youth of the skin.
Fractional radiofrequency is a spectacular anti-aging treatment that involves treating one or more layers of the skin with heat, suction, and radiofrequency micro-pins to trigger collagen production and cell turnover.
What is the recovery and downtime?
This treatment can optionally be treated superficial with little to no downtime, or more aggressively for 1-3 weeks of social downtime. This can be monitored based on depth settings but depending on desired results, a higher setting may be recommended.
What is the Treatment Experience?
A numbing cream is applied to help with any discomfort. A heat and vacuum sensation is normal during the full duration of the treatment. Depending on treatment size, the procedure can take up to 1 hour.
An immediate post treatment burning sensation of the treatment area is expected, as well as indications of Redness and Swelling. This may last up to several hours post treatment, and ice packs or cold compresses may be applied immediately after for comfort.
24 hours post treatment, makeup may be applied.
During the first five days following treatment:
Avoid the use of hot water massages or the use of swimming pools
Avoid the use of abrasive or harsh products (e.g. retinol, glycolic/salicylic acid)
Avoid any mechanical or thermal damage to the treated area (e.g. sauna, scrubs)
Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive sweating
Keep the skin clean with a gentle cleanser, such as YonKa Lait Nettoyant Cleanser.
During your entire course of treatment:
Stay hydrated (drinking at least 1 liter of water daily). Start at least one week before and after the first treatment.
Use a high-factor sunscreen (at least 50 SPF) for at least 1 month before and after every treatment
Avoid any type of skin tanning (sun exposure, tanning beds or artificial sunless tanning lotions)
If you have a breakout, avoid picking or squeezing the skin or lesion for at least 1 month as this will result in petechiae marks.
